Heather Burns is a web site designer and consultant in Glasgow, Scotland. She has been designing web sites since 1997 and working with WordPress since 2008. Outside her client-facing work, her focus is researching and writing about internet law and policy, specifically laws which impact on the professions of web design and development. Recent work has included extensive writing on the EU Cookie Law, the EU Consumer Rights Directive, and the EU Place of Supply reforms. She is currently enrolled in the postgraduate programme in Internet Law and Policy at the University of Strathclyde.
