The Happiness Bar has become part and parcel of WordCamps all over the world and offer a place for attendees to have their WordPress questions answered by helpful volunteers. It’s an opportunity get one-on-one help and advice on your own website, discuss challenges, troubleshoot problems, and learn about cool WordPress tips and tricks.
Here’s some tips about making the most of the Happiness Bar:
Bring your devices!
The Happiness Bar operates on the idea that hands-on help is offered one-to-one, so please don’t hesitate to bring your laptop, tablet, phone or any of your devices. We highly recommend you do!
There are no dumb questions
Honestly, we’ve all been there. The WordPress community is in the habit of questioning everything, so help us keep our Happiness Bar volunteers busy and don’t be afraid to ask them your question!
No problem is too small, but some solutions may be too big
At the Happiness Bar, our philosophy ensures that even if we don’t know the answer to your question, we can find someone who does. Sometimes the problem you’re having requires a big solution, which isn’t designed to be dealt with at the Happiness Bar. We’re always willing to help, but we know our limits and will be able to guide you in the right direction when looking for a solution to your problem.
Feel free to join us
See someone with a problem and know the solution? Then please feel free to jump right in and offer help, support and advice. You don’t have to be on the Happiness Bar to be on the Happiness Bar!
The Happiness Bar will be open during breaks and lunchtime throughout Saturday & Sunday.
Big thanks to the folks at WordCamp US for their brilliant write-up on making the most of the Happiness Bar.
