Accessibility is a priority in the WordPress Community, and this year WordCamp London 2016 is proud to be fully accessible to the deaf and hard-of-hearing, wheelchair users, parents and lactating women.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve added a few additional facilities to ensure WordCamp London remains accessible to everyone for the duration of the event. If you\u2019d like more information regarding any of the below, please get in touch with us at london@wordcamp.org<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Hearing Loops<\/h2>\n

All rooms holding sessions and presentations are fitted with audio induction loops. This includes the Henry Thomas Room, Great Hall and GC1\u201308 (in the Graduate Centre).<\/p>\n

Speech to Text Reporters (STTRs)<\/h2>\n

We\u2019ll be providing live captions for every presentation throughout the event.<\/p>\n

Wheelchair Access<\/h2>\n

The entire University is accessible by wheelchair, apart from the back room in The Rocket. This is where tea and coffee is being served throughout Saturday 9th April and Sunday 10th April, and there will be volunteers available to provide tea and coffee to wheelchair users unable to reach this area.<\/p>\n

The stages in the Henry Thomas Room, Great Hall and GC1\u201308 are also inaccessible to wheelchair users.<\/p>\n

Accessible bathrooms are located in The Rocket and the Graduate Centre.<\/p>\n

Nearest Accessible London Underground Station<\/h3>\n

Holloway Road Underground Station<\/a> is not accessible for wheelchair users.<\/p>\n

Caledonian Road Underground Station<\/a>\u00a0is accessible for wheelchair users.<\/p>\n

Disabled Parking<\/h2>\n

There is blue badge parking outside London Metropolitan University. London Borough of Islington allow Blue Badge holders to park free of charge and for an unlimited period in pay-and-display and permit bays. You can also park for up to three hours on a single or double yellow line as long as there is no loading ban in force.<\/p>\n

Multi-faith Room<\/h2>\n

Room: TM1-86<\/strong><\/p>\n

The multi-faith room will be accessible to all attendees during the following times:<\/p>\n

Saturday 9th: 07:30 – 18:00
\nSunday 10th: 9:00 – 17:00<\/p>\n

Please do not use the room for any other purpose<\/strong>. If you\u2019d like a quiet area, we\u2019ve arranged the Quiet Room for you.<\/p>\n

Cr\u00e8che<\/h2>\n

Room: GCG-09<\/strong><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve been raving about the cr\u00e8che since the announcement<\/a> and strongly encourage parents to attend WordCamp London with their children, who will be cared for\u00a0by the UK\u2019s leading provider of mobile childcare, Nipperbout<\/a>. Lactation Room<\/h2>\n

Room: TG-01<\/strong><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve arranged a private lactation room for breastfeeding\/expressing women which will be accessible with a key held in the Luggage Room (by registration). If you\u2019d like to use the room during the day you\u2019ll need to collect the key from a volunteer in the Luggage Room and return it once you\u2019ve finished.<\/p>\n

The lactation room will be accessible during the following times:<\/p>\n

Saturday 9th April: 07:30 – 18:00
\nSunday 10th April: 09:00 – 15:30<\/p>\n
