Registration<\/h3>\n
Registration for Contributor Day<\/strong> on Friday 17th March will be open from\u00a009:00 – 09:30, collect your badges in the Graduate Centre. If you’re joining us, do remember your laptop and charger (you’d be surprised how many people forget!).<\/p>\n On Saturday, registration will be open between 07:30 \u2013 09:00. You don\u2019t need to print or bring your tickets with you \u2013 all we need is your name to register you. We will be serving tea and coffee,\u00a0feel free to join us bright and early!<\/p>\n If you’re running late (even very late), don’t panic! Just make your way\u00a0to the main reception and someone will point you in the right direction.<\/p>\n London Metropolitan University<\/strong> | location link<\/a><\/strong> The nearest Underground Station is Holloway Road<\/a> on the Piccadilly line, and the nearest Accessible Underground Station is Caledonian Road<\/a> on the Piccadilly line. For the Overground, you’ll be needing Highbury & Islington<\/a>, also on the Piccadilly line. And if buses are your thing, services to London Metropolitan University include the 43, 153, 263, 271, 393 and N41<\/a>.<\/p>\n As the Piccadilly is a night service, you’ll be able catch a ride home late! Check out the first and last tube times here<\/a>.<\/p>\n If it’s your first WordCamp or you are coming on your own, during the major breaks – look out for the Hello<\/strong> points. These are good places to head if you’re at a loose end or if you’re a veteran and want to make someone else feel welcome. Read more<\/a>!<\/p>\n London Metropolitan University will be providing 8-digit unique multi-device WiFi codes to be used throughout the duration of the event. These will be shown on your badges and can be used on multiple devices. If\u00a0you’ll need something (like a coat)\u00a0during the it might be best to keep it on you as it won’t be manned constantly.<\/p>\n Opening Times:<\/strong> The world has enough plastic floating about, right? Do remember your water bottle<\/strong> –\u00a0no doubt you’ve snagged one at a WordCamp or event at some stage. There will be water fountains\u00a0and two drinks stations.<\/p>\n If you’re wondering about what you’ll be eating this weekend, check out what’s on the menu.<\/a><\/p>\n The six nations will be playing over the weekend, and we’re sure there will be some folks keen to keep a beady eye on the action. We’ll be screening the games in the Rocket\u00a0Pool Room<\/strong> (where you get your badges). Enjoy!<\/p>\n The activities room<\/strong> is a great place to spend some time unwinding, there will be video games as well as the #WCLDN happiness bar<\/strong> (manned during all breaks and lunches). \u00a0If you need a little help with something WordPress-y, pop along and get some input from a friendly person.<\/p>\n Room TG-03<\/strong><\/p>\n The quiet room will be open to all attendees who\u2019d like a quiet space to have 5 minutes for yourself. Just like a quiet coach on the train, you can concentrate knowing that no one will talk to you.<\/p>\n The room will be accessible during the following times:<\/p>\n Saturday 9th April: 08:00 \u2013 19:00 Please do not use the room for any loud activities as this is the only room we\u2019ve reserved for official quietness and we’d like to protect that. The ground floor of the Graduate centre is best\u00a0for chatter.<\/p>\n It\u2019s the second year we\u2019re providing a cr\u00e8che at WordCamp London! Mums and dads will be able to make use of this service provided by professional mobile cr\u00e8che company \u2013 Nipperbout Ltd<\/a>. To make use of the service, you will need to have purchased a cr\u00eache ticket – read more about that\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n We have allocated space for 10 mini people and are currently as six. If you have planned a babysitter and plans fall through, you are welcome bring your child and take them into the sessions with you.<\/p>\n The lactation room is GCG-10<\/strong>, next door to the cr\u00eache.<\/p>\n Our Saturday schedule ends at 18:00 after which there is an hour-ish gap before dinner.<\/p>\n During this time, the bar in the Rocket\u00a0will be open (keep in mind there will be children around) which will be a great time to catch up with folk, ask speakers your questions, and get to know some new people.<\/p>\n Dinner will be served at 19:00 in Track A<\/strong>\u00a0and will be kept open until 22:30 with tables, chairs and ambient music.<\/p>\n Downstairs the bar and retro games will continue until close at 23:30.<\/p>\n If you need anything during the course of the weekend, look out for the volunteers in yellow!\u00a0All our help on the day will be sporting volunteer t-shirts which includes the word Localhost<\/strong> on the back.<\/p>\nGetting there<\/h3>\n
