{"id":33,"date":"2016-12-08T11:08:33","date_gmt":"2016-12-08T11:08:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/2017.london.wordcamp.org\/?p=33"},"modified":"2016-12-21T12:29:32","modified_gmt":"2016-12-21T12:29:32","slug":"announcing-wordcamp-london-2017-march-17th-19th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/london.wordcamp.org\/2017\/announcing-wordcamp-london-2017-march-17th-19th\/","title":{"rendered":"Announcing WordCamp London 2017: March 17th &#8211; 19th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">We&#8217;re delighted to welcome\u00a0you\u00a0to the three-day production of WordCamp London 2017, this 17th &#8211; 19th March 2017 at\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.londonmet.ac.uk\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">London Metropolitan University<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re setting up another show-stopping event with three jam-packed days of networking, skill and knowledge sharing and contributing back to the project we all love.<\/p>\n<p>The event will include a Contributor Day on <strong>Friday 17th March<\/strong>, and sessions and presentations over the <strong>weekend between 18th &#8211; 19th March.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You will not want to miss it!<\/p>\n<h2>WCDLN 2017 Event Theme<\/h2>\n<p>Every year WordCamp London has a unique theme inspired by the big city, and its culture, traditions and history. In the past we&#8217;ve been <a href=\"https:\/\/2013.london.wordcamp.org\/\">transport<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/2015.london.wordcamp.org\/\">punk<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/2016.london.wordcamp.org\/\">Victoriana<\/a>; this year, we&#8217;re going bright-lights-big-city with a <strong>glitz and glam theatre theme<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The West End theatre district has a long history in the capital,\u00a0and you&#8217;ll find references to our event theme in our designs, communications, sponsorship packages and everything else we can get our jazz hands on.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-69 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/2017.london.wordcamp.org\/files\/2016\/10\/giphy.gif\" alt=\"giphy\" width=\"256\" height=\"258\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is an excuse to be even more theatrical than usual\u00a0&#8211; how could we resist?!<\/p>\n<h2>Join the fun: here&#8217;s what&#8217;s coming up next<\/h2>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nWe\u2019ll be announcing all the production details over the coming months, including calls for speakers, sponsors and volunteers, as well as opening ticket sales \u2013 so please keep your eyes peeled and help us spread the good news.<\/p>\n<h2>Stay Tuned<\/h2>\n<p>Stay tuned to #WCLDN for news \u2013 and if you&#8217;re interested in sponsoring, we\u2019ve got some nifty treats and plans for you!
