Happy New Year, dear WordPressers! While our efforts to organise the best WordCamp we can are quickly ramping up, we thought we’d kick off 2018 with a big announcement: following 2016 and 2017, we’re delighted to announce that this will be the third year running we’ll have childcare facilities!
Who will be looking after my children?
We’re very pleased to be working with Nipperbout again to provide childcare services during WordCamp London 2018.
Nipperbout is the UK’s most trusted national provider of mobile childcare & children’s activity entertainment for 0-16 year-olds. They’ve been delivering conference and event childcare to exhibitions, conferences and festivals for 22 years and are the UK’s only national mobile childcare provider regularly inspected by Ofsted.
When is the childcare going to be available?
We’ll be providing childcare services during the conference days—14 and 15 April 2018—and you’ll be able to purchase a ticket for each individual event day. Please note there will not be the option of a childcare on Friday 13th April (Contributor Day).
When you buy your event ticket, the option of childcare is available among the options. The cost of booking a place for your child at the childcare facilities is £5 per day per child.
Once you’ve purchased your event ticket along with your childcare tickets, we’ll email you a unique code and link to Nipperbout’s registration system. The codes are entered as an account name and password, and parents will later be able to personalise these.
Other Information
- Parents will be asked to collect their children at lunchtime and accompany them to lunch. Lunch for your child is included in the price of one session ticket, but please note this will be the same lunch served to the adult attendees.
- Your childcare ticket will also enable your child to accompany you to the Saturday evening social event.
- Although we’ve worked really hard to ensure there is a childcare service available to you, we also warmly encourage children to attend the event sessions if they’d like to.
We really look forward to seeing you all there!
For those who, like me, never heard of a crèche, it’s day care.
Hi Lisa, thank you for your comment! We’ve just replaced the word crèche with childcare, which is also the word Nipperbout use on their logo (“event childcare“). Thank you again, and hope to see you at WordCamp London!
