As well as the more traditional <strong>Business, Design, Development, and Content<\/strong>, we also have a new <strong>Hot Topic<\/strong> category to highlight sessions which cover big current topics (the topics selected for this category are Gutenberg, GDPR, and Blockchain).<\/p>\n<p>The 2018 schedule will include a <strong>range of presentations, workshops, and panels <\/strong>too, so you can always find a session to suit your mood.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"button\" href=\"https:\/\/2018.london.wordcamp.org\/schedule\/\">View the schedule<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Creating the Schedule<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-3847 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/2018.london.wordcamp.org\/files\/2018\/03\/26331078930_a45a7549f6_z.jpg\" alt=\"Attendees at WordCamp London 2016\" width=\"640\" height=\"428\" srcset=\"https:\/\/london.wordcamp.org\/2018\/files\/2018\/03\/26331078930_a45a7549f6_z.jpg 640w, https:\/\/london.wordcamp.org\/2018\/files\/2018\/03\/26331078930_a45a7549f6_z-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/london.wordcamp.org\/2018\/files\/2018\/03\/26331078930_a45a7549f6_z-449x300.jpg 449w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As well as the <strong>effort of all the applicants, there is a huge effort backstage in the organising team<\/strong> to vet, rate, select and assemble sessions for the schedule. We\u2019ve had an enormous 118 submissions this year, and many, many excellent applications, and it\u2019s been incredibly hard to fit everything that we wanted to see.<\/p>\n<p>Suffice to say, we\u2019ve had to reject a number of applications we\u2019d have loved to see on stage with us. This is always disappointing\u00a0for us, and probably the most difficult aspect of organising the event.
