WordCamp London 2018 will be hosted at the London\u00a0Metropolitan\u00a0University<\/strong> (166-220 Holloway Rd, London N7 8DB).<\/p>\n The event is based in three buildings:<\/p>\n More information on the location here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Registration will starts on Friday 13 April (contributor day), at 09:00. As not everyone will be at the contributor day, you’ll be able to register yourself on Saturday 14 April too, between 07:30 \u2013 09:15.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re running late, just make your way to the main reception and someone will point you in the right direction.<\/p>\n You don\u2019t need to print or bring your tickets with you! Just show up at the registration tables and tell us your name. We will be serving tea, coffee and snacks, so feel free to join us early!<\/p>\n Contributor days are a great way to start or continue contributing to the WordPress project. Everyone is welcome to play a part, so come along, join our friendly company for the day, and be a part of the community that makes and supports WordPress.<\/p>\n You don\u2019t have to know how to code, as we have many different roles that need filling. Find more information here<\/a>.<\/p>\n WCLDN Contributor day will kick off at 09:30 of Friday 13 April.<\/p>\n Your laptop (and charger!<\/strong>), as well as your enthusiasm and will to contribute to WordPress. And a water bottle, as we explain later. Coats, laptop bags and handbags will not be accepted.<\/p>\n Saturday: 07:30 \u2013 10:00;\u00a017:30 \u2013 19:30 The Activities Room is a dedicated space with three events happening at selected times and dates: Happiness Bar<\/strong>, PHP Upgrade Bar<\/strong><\/a>, and last but not least, Gutenbar<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Happiness Bar<\/strong>\u00a0will be running on both conference days (Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 April), during the official breaks. Please see the event Schedule<\/a> to find the break slots, and feel free to speak to the Happiness Bar volunteers to arrange a time for them to help you outside of the official Happiness Bar opening times if need be.<\/p>\n The\u00a0PHP Upgrade Bar<\/strong>\u00a0will be running on Saturday 14 April from 9:40 \u2013 11:00; and on Sunday 15 April from 10:30 \u2013 12:00, and from 15:30 \u2013 15:50.<\/p>\n Gutenbar<\/strong> will happen on Sunday 15 April, from 12:30 \u2013 13:30.<\/p>\n Find more information on the Activities Room here<\/a>.<\/p>\n If you have an Android device, download the official WordCamp app<\/a> from the Google Play Store.<\/p>\n The WordCamp app has been designed to let you browse upcoming WordCamps as well as find information about the WordCamp you\u2019re attending, so you will be able to access WordCamp London’s schedule and speakers list directly from your device.<\/p>\n If your device has another operating system, please use our website\u2014we will make sure the home page displays the schedule during the event.<\/p>\n There will be a Quiet Room available for all attendees to use during the conference. We want people to feel comfortable using this room to relax away from the main conference area, and disconnect from all the networking activities.<\/p>\n The room will be accessible during the following times:<\/p>\n Saturday 13th April: 08:00 \u2013 19:00 Please do not use the room for any loud activities as this is the only room we\u2019ve reserved for official quietness and we\u2019d like to protect that.<\/p>\n There will also be a quiet area that can be use throughout the event (including the Saturday social), which is the space between the back of the bar in the Rocket building and the back room.<\/p>\n Just like past editions, we’re once again offering childcare. Parents will be able to make use of this service provided by professional mobile childcare company Nipperbout<\/a>. To make use of the service, you will need to have purchased a childcare ticket.<\/p>\n WordCamp London is a breastfeeding friendly event. The lactation room is GCG-10, next door to the childcare. If you are breastfeeding and would like to use our lactation room, please get the key from an organiser at the main reception desk.<\/p>\n There will be water fountains and two drinks stations. We won’t distribute water in disposable plastic bottles.<\/p>\n Please do remember to carry a re-usable water bottle with you! They’re easy to find at conferences, so if you’re a regular conference attendee you probably already have one. If you don’t, consider getting one soon\u2014it will surely become part of your non-negotiable equipment.<\/p>\n Our Saturday schedule ends at 18:00 after which there is an hour-ish gap before dinner.<\/p>\n During this time, the bar in the Rocket will be open (keep in mind there will be children around) which will be a great time to catch up with folk, ask speakers your questions, and get to know some new people.<\/p>\n Dinner will be served at 19:00 in Track A and will be kept open until 22:30 with tables, chairs and ambient music.<\/p>\n If you need anything during the course of the weekend, look out for the volunteers in blue! All our help on the day will be sporting volunteer t-shirts which includes the word Crew on the back.<\/p>\n At WordCamp London, we value the participation of each member of the WordPress community and want all attendees to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience.<\/p>\n To make clear what is expected, all attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers and organisers at any WordCamp London-related event are required to conform to our Code of Conduct<\/a>.
