It\u2019s now become a matter of \u201cwhen\u201d and not \u201cif\u201d blockchain will disrupt WordPress and the business models that WordPress supports, and we need to be prepared for both the threats and the opportunities we\u2019ll be presented with.<\/p>\n<p>In this session, I will be discussing the possible applications of the blockchain, such as e-commerce payment gateways, identity management, and content monetisation.<\/p>\n<p>As blockchain is inherently open source, the blockchain hype cycle could also have great influence over the popularity of WordPress.
