WordCamp London 2019, one of the biggest WordCamp events in Europe, is looking for speakers to share their skills.
WordCamps are not-for-profit events aimed at content writers, developers, designers, businesses, and WordPress enthusiasts. They’re an excellent place to share and learn and we hope you can help us with that! You can share your knowledge with an international audience, network with other speakers and interact with attendees at our conference venue in the amazing city of London.
Could you be a WordCamp London volunteer speaker in 2019?
We’re looking for speakers on a wide range of topics. In addition to our call for speakers, we are inviting the community to chat with us about their ideas for topics to be covered this year – submit your suggestions.
As a starting point, below are some topics the WordPress community have suggested previously:
- accessibility
- data management and privacy
- developer-focused topics (coding best practices for theme and plugin development, API, writing secure code, and so on)
- Gutenberg (page templates, building themes with Gutenberg, and so on)
- life / achievements with WordPress
- managing a business and all that’s involved (finding and managing clients, advertising, and so on)
- scaling websites
- search engine optimisation
- security
At WordCamp London, we want to continue to highlight the amazing and innovative work taking place in the community. We are also keen to be part of the drive to improve sustainability and accessibility of WordCamps. Applications linked to these areas are welcome.
Whether it would be your first time speaking or you’re a seasoned public speaker, please get involved and share your skills with the WordPress community.
