Sustainability at WCLDN 2019

This year we’ve made sustainability even more important than it usually is for us here in London (and much has been incorporated previously, as with many WordCamps around the UK and the world).

We wanted to consider as many aspects as possible this year, not only the obvious plastic/paper usage, but more – what do we really need, what can be changed to have a lasting effect, and how can we balance the cost to the environment of our WordCamp.

Announcing WCLDN schedule

London – the home of Big Ben, the Royal Albert Hall, St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower Bridge, and of course, the daily changing of the guard outside Buckingham Palace.

And soon it will be the home of WordCamp London 2019! What an amazing place to host a WordCamp and now we have some exciting news for you…the release of the Schedule!

Organising WCLDN 2019

What does it take to plan a large WordPress event in the centre of London and welcome hundreds of people? This is only possible thanks to the generosity and commitment of organisers, volunteers, speakers and sponsors. It also involves support from attendees, from ideas and feedback, to helping share their enthusiasm for WordCamp London.

Our team of organisers have been working for six months to develop and deliver another amazing event. They are looking forward to welcoming all of you in just four weeks time to the sixth WordCamp London – 5 – 7 April 2019.

A volunteer’s tale

This year’s WordCamp London is taking shape nicely. We have had more speakers apply than ever before, and sponsors eager to help us make this an awesome event.

There is just one more thing we need to pin down: a full contingent of volunteers. We need another dozen or so amazing people to help make this WordCamp 2019 run smoothly.

One week left to apply to speak at WCLDN 2019

Our call for Speakers closes on the 21 February 2019 and we’ve had some great submissions already. We’re keen to make sure everyone has an opportunity to get involved with the community and contribute your knowledge.
